WLAN antenna protection
The communication signal from the antenna operates at a radio frequency range between 800-950 MHz and 1,800-1,900 MHz, with a magnitude less than 1.0 Vp-p. Because these signals have high-frequency properties, the capacitance of the suppressor must be considered to avoid signal attenuation. There can be ESD electrical hazards.
As shown on the left, a PulseGuard® suppressor is used to protect the antenna elements.
